19 June 2024 Mike Murawsk -Developing Effective Community Partnerships.

The Pre-NBC Summer School cohort development workshop on the afternoon of Wednesday 19th June will explore key strategies (short-term & long-term) to build stronger community relationships and thriving sustainable partnerships based in trust, equity, and collective action. The training will have relevance beyond NBC doctoral researchers who work directly in the museum sector and will be relevant to for the wider cohort and arts and humanities disciplines that engage with communities and place. He advocates for leadership based in empathy and vulnerability, a re-evaluation of traditional power structures, and a commitment to fostering human connection and care within museum and heritage settings. Murawski is internationally a sought – after as a trainer and innovator in this field and he will deliver the keynote presentation to the summer school on Friday 21st June.
