About this Event
Northeastern Global Service Week provides students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to get to know the neighborhoods where we learn, live, and work by providing one day of direct service to support the mission and goals of our committed community partners across the Northeastern Network.
This event is to register for Service Day at the BOSTON CAMPUS. Check out each project to get a better idea of what the service will entail and reserve your spot. Teams range in size from approximately 5-30 participants and typically support park clean-ups, gardening/weeding, facility maintenance (painting, grounds work, etc.), supply/material organizing, and one-day event support. Projects range from 2-5 hours and begin between 7:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
All participants will have an opportunity to earn a badge. Details on earning a badge can be found by clicking this link: https://northeastern.badgr.com/public/badges/03f_4CJzSsu2P_QJ7mW5rg.
Please register for ONE Service Day (Boston Campus) project by Wednesday, October 2nd!
Teams will assemble at the West Village Quad in the morning for a light breakfast before heading off to their service site. Once on site, the community partner's staff will provide an overview of the organization's mission, give a site tour, and guide you through the day of service.
Interested in leading a Northeastern Service Day group? Team leaders must attend a mandatory orientation where we will review their leadership responsibilities. Team leaders are responsible for gathering their group, leading icebreaker activities, guiding the group to service, supporting the team on site, facilitating a post-service reflection, and guiding the group back to campus after the service project is completed.
