Northeast Zone Meet, August 15th - 17th, Syracuse, NYHosted by the Central NY Chapter SDC
Central New York SDC will host their second Northeast Zone meet held in NY State. The host hotel (Sleep Inn & Suites Airport, 6344 East Molloy Rd, East Syracuse, 13057, telephone 315-433-8585) is sold out. Contact Hampton Inn & Suites Syracuse/Carrier Circle at 315-437-1060. Convention rate of $129/night plus tax, with complimentary shuttle from the Hampton to Sleep Inn for the Saturday banquet. Mention 'Studebaker club'.

Wednesday, August 14: Registration and hospitality room open from 4-6 pm. Join us at 6:30 for an ice cream social in the Hospitality Room (ticket required).
Thursday, August 15: 90 mile scenic caravan road trip with several stops along the way. First, lunch in Central Square, then the DEC Pacific Salmon Hatchery in Altmar, for an educational talk about their work, a brief tour and an option for a short walk to a beautiful waterfall. Our next stop a visit at a private collection, an eclectic group of Studebakers, Graham cars, and other makes, including a GTO. (something really special). Then relax by the shores of Oneida Lake at the Sylvan Beach cruise-in. Dinner is on your own. Plenty of options within walking distance, stop on the way back, or check out someplace close to where you are staying.
Friday, August 16: Our luxury motorcoach tour first stops at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich (newly remodeled and expanded, with something on display for everyone, including cars, motorcycles, & fashions of the day). We then travel to Cortland, with lunch at the CNY Living History Museum, followed by time to view the eclectic collection of local history, military memorabilia, railroad artifacts, and their fabulous Brockway Motor Trucks (manufactured in Cortland until the mid 70's). New this year is a firehouse housing Brockway Firetrucks. We may be adding two brief, but fun stops, on our way back to Syracuse... Transportation, lunch and museum entrance fees are included in the price. Don't miss it! After a busy day, come enjoy a relaxing BBQ picnic at the Oliver home. Less than a mile from the hotel!
Saturday, August 17: Join us in Minoa for the '10th Gathering of Orphan Cars' from 10-3. We will caravan from the host hotel at 9 am. Studebaker and Packard are the feature marques and will be judged separately. Join us at the host hotel at 6 pm for our Studebaker banquet, where awards will be presented.
