This workshop will cover a wide range of lake management topics including lake ecology, watershed concepts, and lake monitoring (water quality and aquatic plants). The ecology and how to identify aquatic plants commonly found in Pennsylvania lakes will also be discussed. In addition, various in-lake management practices will be presented including, but not limited to lake aeration, algae and aquatic plant control using aquatic pesticides, aquatic plant control using triploid grass carp, nutrient inactivation, sediment dredging, and bio-augmentation using concentrated bacteria products. Networking and discussions will follow workshop talks.
