Northcott’s Guide to Healthy Chefs is a free group cooking program for teenagers aged 12-17 to learn kitchen skills and make healthier food choices.This program includes theory and practical activities and is run by qualified dietitians.
In this program, your child will:
- Make food suitable for their lunchbox and after school snacks.
- Learn healthy eating principles from the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating (AGHE) about the five food groups.
- Learn the importance of each food group and how to portion and include these into daily meals.
- Develop practical kitchen skills to make well balanced meals using the five food groups and healthy eating principles.
- Receive a 5 star Chef Award after completing the set tasks within the program.
Participants can register to attend as many sessions as they would like.
Spaces are limited so please register your interest ASAP. If multiple siblings are interested, please complete a separate form for each participant using the tickets link.
