Commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day this talk will tell the stories of Northamptonshire people as part of Operation Overlord. Northamptonshire men and women served in the navy, army and air-force and were also involved in special operations. We will also share activity on the home front including S'alute the Soldier' fundraising in the villages, an 'Evils We Face' exhibition in Northampton, the Land Army and food production in rural Northamptonshire. The talk will feature individual stories researched especially for D-Day 80.
Eventbrite may be sold out but there is additional ticket availability at the museum - call our booking line Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm or Sundays 12-5pm 01604 838111 and book your tickets over the phone or you can pay in person before the event. On the door admission depends on availability on the day.
