We are very much looking forward to our return to St Peters this year with an exciting programme. We revisit Symphonie Fantastique By Berlioz - a feverish musical journey through obsession, heartbreak, hallucination and a doomed artist's descent into madness. This is orchestral writing at its most thrilling!
Just one day too early we will stay with the magical theme with Mendelssohn's Midsummer Nights Dream, before playing Tamarside, an evocative description of the slow moving Tamar by local composer Clive Jenkins.
Most excitingly, and in a first for NDS, we are delighted to be able to give some of our younger talent a chance to play a movement of a concerto. We will play movements from Hummel's trumpet concerto, Mendelsohn's piano concerto No1, and Monti Czardas for violin
