We are excited to finally be able to officially announce the first annual North American Faux Tour Championship Weekend!! This event to close out the 2023-2024 NAFT Season and kick off the 2024-2025 season will be held June 7-9 at Dragon’s Lair North in Houston, Texas! When the NAFT was originally conceived, the plan was to have the Championship event occur at its own event outside of a convention and to host two concurrent GTs–the “Master’s Invitational Championship” where the top-ranked players from each conference are invited to face-off to become the NAFT Champion and the “NAFT Black Joker Open” where players who weren’t quite lucky enough to qualify for the championship invitational get to compete to win the first tournament of the new season.
The idea behind the side by side tournaments is to ensure the maximum level of competition in the Master’s Invitational while simultaneously allowing players to plan and make travel arrangements before they know if they are high enough in their conference standings to earn an invitation. This dual format also allows less experienced players who know they won’t qualify for the invitational the opportunity to compete in an event where they know they won’t run into the top tier players who are busy beating each other up in the Invitational!
Both events will be 2-day, 50ss fixed faction Gaining Grounds 4 tournaments and take place starting on Saturday, June 8 and ending Sunday, June 9. The whole weekend is designed to be a celebration of Malifaux with more casual events starting on Friday, June 7th as players come into town.

Friday, June 7:
Malifaux Open Play: Whenever you get into town, come get checked in, grab a drink from the Tabletop Tavern, and catch up with old friends or make new ones over a friendly game with Malifaux Open Play all day long.
Evil Twins Tournament: Friday afternoon we start the organized fun with a fun new alternative format developed by those crazy lads from the Lonestar Conference called “Evil Twins” where you bring a 50ss crew with Both Versions of your Favorite Master–we’ve all wondered what it would be like to have Two versions of One master in one crew, now it’s time to see just how crazy it gets! Full details on this event will be released in the player packet.
Saturday, June 8:
Master’s Invitational Championship and NAFT Black Joker Open: The main event kicks off for both events! Each will be a 2-day, 50ss fixed faction Gaining Grounds 4 tournament. Start time TBA
Bonanza Brawl Karaoke: In what has become a Texas Malifaux Tradition, Saturday evening we’re bringing back Bonanza Brawl Karaoke! Turn up the shenanigans using the ever popular Bonanza Brawl format! Bring your favorite Non-Master to this battle royale brawl with an extra helping of shenanigans and a side of Karaoke! This fun, casual format is great for new players or players who want to socialize with a beer and a game of Malifaux.
Sunday, June 9:
Master’s Invitational Championship: We continue with the final rounds and we see who is crowned the 2023-2024 North American Malifaux Master! Start time TBA
NAFT Black Joker Open: Sunday concludes the weekend with the final rounds and we see who kicks off the 2024-2025 season with a win in the season’s first event!
