The North Alabama Daylily Society is pleased to host Steven Franklin as our guest presenter.Steven is a daylily hybridizer, collector, and enthusiast. His American Daylily Society Registered Display Garden, Merry and Bright Daylilies, is in Shelbyville, KY.
Steven shares: "I have been collecting and hybridizing daylilies for 10+ years in Shelbyville Kentucky. I grow around 1400 registered cultivars as well as 1000’s of seedlings under evaluation. I work with primarily Diploids with my main focus on miniatures and smalls. I do dabble in unusual forms and a few Tetraploids as well. I want to create daylilies that bring happiness and joy with every bloom."
A daylily auction will be held after the presentation.
The meeting will be held in the volunteer room at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. Drive up to the main building and and turn right to park in the east lot. The volunteer room is part of the original HBG buildings.
