This month at the , we will be welcoming the Norfolk Department of Human Services’ .
Norfolk's Department of Human Services realizes that many residents struggle to access benefits programs, assistance, and support services due to a lack of transportation.
To address that need, Norfolk Department of Human Services is bringing that much-needed access right in neighborhoods with the Community Engagement Street Team every week.
The Street Team goes mobile to share many resources, including
- Benefits applications
- Tangible resources (food, water, personal care items, etc.)
- Referrals for service
- Intensive case management assistance
- Support and additional help
The Norfolk Human Services will be spending an hour with us and discussing the services they provide our community. This in-person event is a great opportunity to learn more about the Community Engagement Team and meet their dedicated team.
