About this Event
Please join The Norfolk Business Leaders Community as we celebrate 2024 and all that has been achieved.
Once again the setting for this famous end-of-year get-together is The Norfolk Club on Upper King Street in Norwich. Sadly, due to the size of the room, we can only accommodate 70 guests so please do move quickly to secure your space and toast the year that was.
We will have an update on the funds raised at the Annual Dinner & Awards in November and hear from the award winners gaining insights into what makes the difference to them.
The wine for the day has been kindly sponsored by Ascot Lloyd - we'll hear from Mark Juniper, Business Development. Ascot Lloyd are a national dynamic and progressive full service independent financial advice firm, with a focus on the importance of financial planning, not just financial advice.
Today Ascot Lloyd is one of the largest independently owned wealth management firms in the UK, helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals. With an ethos to genuinely care about their clients and strive to build long-lasting relationships based on honesty and trust.
We will hear from Chris Elliott, Marketing and Fundraising Manager (Corperate) at The Feed. The Feed wants everyone in Norwich to eat well, live well and feel connected. Simple aims but far from the reality currently: Norwich has twice the national average of deprivation; thousands of residents can't afford enough to eat. Find out from Chris how you can help to address this.
We'll also hear from Dr Jan Sheldon CEO of St Martins. St Martins provide specialist support for people who are rough sleeping or homeless. They have a range of services from street outreach teams to specialist accommodation and learning and development opportunities. Every day they support over 300 people to live as independently as possible with 200 dedicated and hard-working team members. The number of people sleeping rough on the streets of Norwich has decreased - this has bucked the national trend. This is a reflection of the work of St Martins, partners and commissioners. Sadly, they've still work to do to make sure no one sleeps rough on our streets.
After a delightful lunch we'll get an update from David Powles, CEO of Norfolk Community Law Service. The charity is about to enter its 40th year and offers free legal advice to more than 4,000 people a year on issues such as domestic abuse, family matters, debt, welfare benefits, immigration, housing and employment.
Thank you for all you do to support the Norfolk community we serve every day.
