Come celebrate Yule with the Barony of Nordwache! Let’s get together in joy and fellowship with games, contests, and feasting!SCHEDULE:
9am - Site opens
9:30am - Gate opens
10:30am - Opening court (or at Her Excellency’s pleasure)
12pm Noon - Let’s Eat!
Afternoon - Games
3pm - Tear-down
4pm - Site closes
We must be off site by 5:00pm
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Adult Event Registration (17 and over): $15.00. Adult Member Discount Event Registration: $5.00. Children (16 and under) are guests of the Barony. Cash & checks accepted at site. Please make checks payable to: SCA, Inc./Barony of Nordwache.
FEAST: There will be an outdoor Feast that will be potluck style. Provide your own protein and bring a dish to share according to the schedule below. But before that, set your best table for the traditional table setting and decorating competition.
If your mundane last name begins with A-H, please bring a vegetable side dish
If your mundane last name begins with I-Q, please bring a grain or starch side dish (examples: rice, potatoes, pasta)
If your mundane last name begins with R-Z, please bring a dessert
Be sure to Dress to Impress for the traditional Garb Competition!
Bring your favorite games for the after-meal fellowship. There will be KUBB!!!
A&S COMPETITIONS:
Baronial Championship (Adult) – What Does Yule Mean to You
Youth Championship (12 years and younger) – Make a Yule Log
Throw the theme out the window – Item must have been made within 90 days of event.
Cooking – Apples and Cinnamon Documentation required for ingredients.
Brewing – Spiced Drink.
Bardic – A Yule time Story.
SITE RESTRICTIONS: This is a dry site.

DIRECTIONS:
From the north: Make your way to Highway 99 and head south towards Visalia. Take the Caldwell Avenue/Avenue 280 exit and head east. Go approximately four miles to Mooney Blvd. and turn right (south). After about one mile, turn left into Mooney Grove Park.
From the south: Make your way to Highway 99 and head north towards Visalia. Take Exit 87 (Highway 137/ East Tulare Avenue) in Tulare. Turn left (north) on South Mooney Blvd./Highway 63. Go about five miles and turn right into Mooney Grove Park.
