About this Event
Nordic walking is a sociable and easy outdoor activity based on ordinary walking. It uses two lightweight poles to help you walk with more confidence and better balance.
Nordic walking is an ideal exercise as you get older. It’s supportive, good for your posture, kind on your joints, improves your balance, and works your whole body. You are never too old to start Nordic walking and you can do it whatever your fitness level.
We are starting free (funded) Nordic walking courses in St George Park for adults aged 70+ and this taster will show you what Nordic walking is and how to sign up for our courses.
Don't worry about your fitness level. You can take it at your own pace.
