LINDY VOPNFJÖRD
Born into the Icelandic community in Manitoba, Canada, Lindy Vopnfjörd started his music career early. Singing traditional Icelandic songs with his family, both the cultural heritage and musician parents shaped this intuitive artist. By age four, Lindy was already pronouncing his “stand and care for the world” bent as an Icelandic- Canadian folk artist by singing cautionary songs against nuclear war. Traveling around by bus with his mom and dad and extended family, he developed an appreciation for performing as a form of sharing.
Touring comes naturally to Lindy, and to see him live is to witness years of experience in honest delivery and authentic exchange with a dedication as real to a room of three as when he’s performing stadium-full. Lindy has performed seven albums’ worth of originals that have mesmerized, delighted and moved audiences at house parties and bars to embassies, theatre halls with Canada’s Whitehorse, and large festivals, such as Montreal’s Osheaga, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Reykjavik Folk Festival, and Hillside Festival.

MARTHE HALVORSEN
Marthe Halvorsen is a Montreal based Norwegian artist, songwriter and producer who weaves together dreamy evocative Indie Folk Music. Her debut album ‘All is in the Seed’ was released in 2018, receiving great acclaim around the world. Several of the songs from her album made it on to Norwegian National Radio as well as CBC Radio in Canada. With a unique sincerity in her voice Marthe Halvorsen has a special ability to touch something deep inside the listener. Having grown up in Arctic Norway, nature has always been an important source of inspiration in her music. The spaciousness and the raw unpolished landscapes of the north can be traced in her sense of songwriting and taste in music production. With a love for a minimalistic and an unpolished sound, Marthe seeks to write songs that carry an intention and that comes from an authentic place within herself.
Since the release of her debut album, Halvorsen has played a series of concerts in both Norway and Canada, and performed for festivals such as Pop Montreal, Mundial Montreal, Festival FAR,
Nordic Bridges, Festival FIKA(S), Festival des traditions du monde and many more. Earlier this autumn, she released her anticipated sophomore album «Feed the Fire, Breathe the Night», recorded in Montreal and northern Norway. On her new album the Norwegian artist has been diving deeper into the producer role, crafting and perfecting her very own characteristic sound. This new album highlights Halvorsen’s rare ability to craft music that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. With introspective lyrics and her unmistakable voice, she strikes a chord that lingers. Feed the Fire, Breathe the Night is an album that longs to bring music back to something organic and heartfelt—made for those who need to take a deep breath in 2025.

LINDY VOPNFJÖRD
Né au sein de la communauté islandaise du Manitoba, au Canada, Lindy Vopnfjörd a commencé sa carrière musicale très tôt. Chantant des chansons traditionnelles islandaises avec sa famille, il a été façonné à la fois par cet héritage culturel et par des parents musiciens. Dès l’âge de quatre ans, Vopnfjörd exprimait déjà sa fibre « se lever et prendre soin du monde » en tant qu’artiste folk islandais-canadien, en interprétant des chansons de mise en garde contre la guerre nucléaire. Voyageant en autobus avec sa mère, son père et sa famille élargie, il a développé une appréciation de la performance comme forme de partage.
Les tournées viennent naturellement à Vopnfjörd, et le voir sur scène, c’est être témoin d’années d’expérience marquées par une interprétation sincère et un échange authentique, avec un engagement aussi vrai devant une salle de trois personnes que devant un stade comble. Vopnfjörd a interprété des originaux tirés de sept albums qui ont captivé, enchanté et ému des publics dans des salons privés, des bars, des ambassades, des salles de théâtre aux côtés de Whitehorse (Canada), ainsi que lors de grands festivals tels qu’Osheaga à Montréal, le Winnipeg Folk Festival, le Reykjavik Folk Festival et le Hillside Festival.

Marthe Halvorsen est une artiste, autrice-compositrice et productrice norvégienne basée à Montréal, qui tisse une musique indie folk onirique et évocatrice. Son premier album, All Is in the Seed, est paru en 2018 et a reçu un accueil enthousiaste à l’échelle internationale. Plusieurs chansons de l’album ont été diffusées sur la radio nationale norvégienne ainsi que sur CBC Radio au Canada.
