YOUNG PERFORMERS INVITED TO AUDITION FOR
NOOSA
‘STARS' ALIVE! 2022
Celebrating the NOOSA alive! 20th anniversary, the event invites expressions of interest from
young artists, 8-18 years of age, to audition for the inaugural Noosa ‘STARS' alive! 2022.
This youth incentive/program developed by the event's Festival Director, Ian Mackellar, aims to
nurture, support, promote and showcase emerging talented young artists (8 to 18 years) residing on the Sunshine Coast.
The event creates the opportunity for rising talented artists to perform on stage before a live audience
and work with a team of industry professionals within a professional environment.
All AUDITIONEES MUST REGISTER TO AUDITION
Auditions (by appointment) will be held at Noosa Arts Theatre, 163 Weyba Road, Noosaville
After registering your Expression of Interest , you will be notified an allocated audition time via your email .
Audition placements are limited and audition times/date will be allocated on a priority registration basis (i.e. In order of registrations being received).
AUDITION CRITERIA
Open to ALL individuals/groups (8-18 y.o.a.) displaying talent and flair in their chosen field of performing/arts/creativity.
ALL applicants must be aged between 8 years and 18 years of age (as at 26th July 2022) to qualify.
All applicants must reside on the Sunshine Coast (From Noosa to Caloundra).
Open to all performance categories including;
Singing - Dancing - Music (instrument), Acting - Comedy - Acrobatics - Physical Theatre - Specialty act- or Other.
No restrictions to number of audition performers, i.e. open to Soloists, Duos, Trios, Groups .
Prepare an audition piece not exceeding 3 minutes.
Provide and bring to audition, any instrumental backing track uploaded to either iPhone or USB stick. Alternatively if audition is a vocal audition, auditionee can opt to sing a cappella (without accompaniment).

AUDITION DATES
Sunday 24 April and Sunday 1st May at Noosa Arts Theatre. (10am until 4.30pm) Please arrive at Noosa Arts Theatre , 163 Weyba Road, Noosaville -15 minutes prior to your allocated audition time.
Twelve (12) finalists will be selected from the audition process, and successful finalists will receive official written notification within seven (7 days) of auditions.
Noosa ‘STARS' alive! - FINALS - Live Performance -
TUESDAY 26th July 2022 at The J Theatre
Twelve (12) Selected Finalists will perform before a live audience at Noosa ‘STARS' alive! event at The J Theatre on TUESDAY 26 July 2022.
The 'live' finals will be hosted by Damien Rossi aka 'Mr. Hollywood'.
Performance (duration) at the FINALS event must be at no less than 3 minutes and not exceed a 5 minute duration.
An adjudicator panel will determine the outright winning performance of Noosa ‘STARS' alive! - (The judge's decision will be final and no correspondence entered into).
The Winner of Noosa ‘STARS' alive! 2022 will be announced at the event on 26th July'22 and receive;
A cash prize of $1,000 (towards further development of their performance/artistic skills).

All (12) finalists will receive a Finalist - Certificate of Merit, together with opportunity to perform at the Finals event before a live audience.
Audition Registrations are now open and will close Friday 8th April'22
Please note - Audition registrations will close earlier in the event all allocated audition placements have been filled. We encourage all applicants to register for auditions as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Entry to venue/event is subject to Covid19 directives as outlined by Qld Health.
All auditionees will need to be 'up to date' with their Covid19 vaccinations to comply with audition criteria.
