About this Event
The Noongar language classes start on Monday 4 November!
Classes will be on Mondays from 5:30pm to 6.30pm at the Kwinana Library.
There will be five weeks of classes taught by Dylan Collard.
The sessions aim to teach Noongar language to adults, but more importantly, aims to inspire an inquisitive mind about Noongar culture in daily life. This kind of rich learning experience works to deepen our respect and understanding of Indigenous peoples and culture and is a great step towards respectfully infusing Indigenous ways of living, knowing, and memory keeping into our daily work practices.
Classes are on:
Monday 4 November – First class
Monday 11 November - Second class
Monday 18 November - Third class
Monday 2 December - Fourth class
Monday 9 December – Final class for this series
** This is a five week block of classes that build on each other so unfortunately drop-ins/one-offs are not possible. You must attend all five classes (unless you’re sick of course). Partial refunds will not be given.
There are no class fees for Noongar attendees, please contact the Programs team on [email protected] or 9236 4300
Companion Cards are accepted for this program
