About this Event

Join Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute for a free Nonprofit NetWalk! This event offers a great opportunity to connect with fellow nonprofit leaders, funders, and Board members in a relaxed and scenic environment.

We will begin the walk at Lifeguard Tower 34 at Carlsbad State Beach and make our way to the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Carlsbad Blvd Trailhead. Participants will enjoy the beautiful trail and lagoon and receive an exclusive tour of the Leon Raymond Hubbard, Jr., Marine Fish Hatchery.

Date and Time: Friday, November 8 · 10:30am - 12pm PDT

Location: Carlsbad State Beach - Lifeguard Tower 34

Parking: Parking is available on the street, and there is a paid parking option near Lifeguard Tower 34.

Difficulty Level: Easy. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen.

About the Hatchery: The Leon Raymond Hubbard, Jr., Marine Fish Hatchery, established in 1995, is one of Southern California's premier aquaculture facilities. Built on land donated by San Diego Gas & Electric on Agua Hedionda Lagoon, the hatchery is part of the Ocean Resources Enhancement and Hatchery Program (OREHP). This facility is dedicated to restoring the California white seabass population and has the capacity to produce over 350,000 juvenile white seabass annually.
