This introductory workshop explores the roles and responsibilities of nonprofit board service through the lens of equity and an examination of how the nonprofit board members can shape their organizations for the benefit of everyone in their communities.
This session addresses effective board culture and the board's role in strategy, the CEO partnership, financial oversight and fundraising, while balancing history, sector context and practical tips and checklists that will be helpful to new and veteran board members alike.
The interactive four-hour session includes time for small group discussion and Q&A with the facilitation team -- longtime nonprofit executive’s eager to help participants become effective board members who lead on equity and inclusion in addition to mission.
