About this Event
Hearts have been covered in arts and crafts for decades and this iconic symbol is either viewed with tender fondness or as trite and overdone. In this workshop we will seek to create a heart that colors outside the lines and runs with scissors. We will use rusty metal, sharp pointy things, techno bits, naughty text from romance novels, nothing is off limits.
Students are encouraged to bring found objects to incorporate into their pieces although it is not required. The most important element is an open mind. Let's Play!
Supplied: 8 inch wooden heart bases. Mixed Media Materials: Stained glass, gems, beads, spikey things, techno bits, metal, collage papers. Students should bring their own tools if they have some, if not tools will be provided.
• As always students work at different speeds and if the project is not completed in class students will be given enough materials to finish at home. If the project is to be grouted instructions and a grout kit will be provided.
• Minimum of Two students required so tell a pal, bring a date.
• Light snacks and beverages provided. This is being held in my home studio and it is a smoke free environment. No kitties here, but 3 small terriers do share our home ( they will not be taking the class with us).
