About this Event
Please join us for our first non-fiction book club session with special guest, author L. Feig Knipe! We will be discussing her new book, Braving Therapy.
We have partnered with Fireside Books in Redwood City as the place to go to pick up our monthly book club selections. They have graciously offered to stock plenty of copies of our book club selections each month to make sure folks are able to pick up a copy. If you haven't been by, it's an excellent little independent book shop.
Braving Therapy: Rape, Buried Trauma, and the Triumphant Journey Over PTSD, is a compelling memoir into the profound journey of healing and self-discovery. From a childhood overshadowed by grief to surviving a harrowing assault, the author's life is a testament to resilience.
Explore the author's courageous path through five years of intensive therapy, navigating PTSD, depression, and anxiety while pursuing a graduate degree in Counselor Education. With insights drawn from her twenty-year career as a School Counselor, she shares practical wisdom on trauma, memory, and the transformative power of therapy.
