An international bookclub for people who like reading and discussing non-fiction with likeminded others.
About this Event

The Non-Fiction Book Club is for people who are interested in lots of things in the world, be it culture, society, politics, economics, psychology, nature or travel, and love discussing these topics and learn from likeminded others.

How does it work? Each month has a theme with three curated non-fiction book options, and the book that we will read is selected by all of us. The theme for March is 'Survivors', and we will be reading Between two kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad based on your votes.

** Voting is now closed **

  • Solito - Javier Zamora
  • Behind the beautiful forevers - Katherine Boo
  • ** WINNER ** Between Two Kingdoms - Suleika Jaouad

Where will we meet? Each month we will pick a venue somewhere central in Budapest to meet up for a stimulating discussion and a drink, this time it will be Bookta, look out for the book on the table!

Please note that as places are limited there are 2 simple rules to join the book club:

  1. You got a ticket on Eventbrite. We keep the group intentionally small, so unfortunately we can't accommodate people showing up on the day without registration or only RSVP-ing on Facebook. Please cancel your ticket if you can't attend to give your place to someone else.
  2. You have read most of the book. Sometimes life gets in the way so you might not finish the whole book, and that is totally fine, but it is more enjoyable for everyone if we can all contribute to the discussion.

If the event is full, you can follow the bookclub for future events here on its Facebook page.
