About this Event
Over the past decade, non-alcoholic wine, beer, and spirits have seen tremendous growth in the global drinks market, propelled by a multi-faceted consumer- and policy-driven trend toward less or no alcohol consumption. In this class, we'll try a handful of still non-alcoholic wines from around the world and discuss the processes and challenges of producing these kinds of wines. We'll also explore some of the background and key moments and arguments in the modern Prohibition movement - leaving behind the click-bait media buzz. We hope you'll join us for this engaging and interesting discussion and tasting!
The class will be led by Afton Kortz, Barnard Griffin's Wine Club Manager, who is a French Wine Scholar and holds a Level 3 certification in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
