Το NOF Hub είναι μία παράλληλη διοργάνωση του No Ordinary Festival, του φεστιβάλ πειραματικής μουσικής στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Στα πλαίσια της συνεργασίας του NOF με 3 διεθνή φεστιβάλ @breach_festival (CY), @irtijalfestival (LEB), και @space21sound στο Κουρδιστάν (IRQ), παρουσιάζουμε ένα μονοήμερο event, το NOF Hub! Στις 14 Απριλίου, στον Αγωγό Τέχνης Transcendance, στη Θεσσαλονίκη, οι Gregory Dargent και Petr Vrba, touring artists των παραπάνω φεστιβάλ, θα παρουσιάσουν 2 σόλο σετ πειραματικής μουσικής.
NOF Hub is a one-day event organized by No Ordinary Festival for experimental music. As part of NOF’s collaboration with the three international festivals @breach_festival (CY), @irtijalfestival (LEB), and @space21sound in Kurdistan (IRQ), we present Gregory Dargent and Petr Vrba, touring artists from these festivals who will each present an experimental music solo.

Ο GREGORY DARGENT ΠΑΡΟΥΣΙΑΖΕΙ ΤΟ SOLO ΤΟΥ "SOLEIL D'HIVER".
Ο Gregory Dargent παίζει ηλεκτρική κιθάρα και ούτι. Είναι συνθέτης, σκηνοθέτης και φωτογράφος. Ασχολείται με την την αυτοσχεδιαστική μουσική, την τουαρέγκ τρανς, τη τζαζ, το τουρκικό μακάμ, τη μινιμαλιστική μουσική, την ποπ, τα αφροαμερικανικά worksongs και το γαλλικό τραγούδι.
Το "Soleil d'Hiver" είναι μια δημιουργία για ούτι και ηλεκτρονικά, στην οποία εξερευνά το ούτι, ταλαντευόμενος ανάμεσα στις πιο μινιμαλιστικές ατμόσφαιρες και τις πιο "έντονες ηχητικές εκρήξεις" που δημιουργούνται στις συναυλίες του. Κατά τη διάρκεια του 2024/2025, θα βρίσκεται σε καλλιτεχνικά residencies στην Αίγυπτο, τον Λίβανο, το Ιράκ, την Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο, αναμετρώντας την προσέγγισή του στο όργανο με το κοινό και τους καλλιτέχνες των χωρών που τον φιλοξενούν.

GREGORY DARGENT PRESENTS HIS SOLO PROJECT “SOLEIL D'HIVER”.
Gregory Dargent is an oud and electric guitar player. He is a composer, film director and photographer, who cultivates his musical and identity schizophrenia through improvised music, Tuareg trance, jazz, Turkish maqam, minimalist music, pop, African American worksongs or the French song.
“Soleil d'Hiver” is a creation for oud and electronics in which he explores the instrument, oscillating between the most minimalist atmospheres and the most violent explosions. During 2024/2025, he will be in creative residencies in Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Greece and Cyprus, where his approach to the instrument will be confronted to the audiences and artists of these countries.

Οι αδιάκοπες εξερευνήσεις του στη μη ιδιωματική αυτοσχεδιαστική μουσική, χρησιμοποιώντας τρομπέτα, κλαρινέτo, συνθεσάιζερ, DIY ηλεκτρονικά, δονητικά ηχεία κ.ά., τον έχουν καταστήσει έναν από τους πιο δραστήριους πειραματικούς μουσικούς της Πράγας σήμερα. Έχει δημιουργήσει και παίζει σε πολλά διεθνή ντουέτα, όπως με τους Peter Orins (Kesherul Neg Pineg), Mathieu Chamagne (4&), Andria Nicodemou, Cinder (Fire Like Fire), Jérôme Noetinger, erikM, Joke Lanz, Birgit Ulher και άλλους.
Είναι επίσης ιδρυτής (μαζί με τον George Cremaschi) της Prague Improvisation Orchestra και σχημάτων όπως οι Poisonous Frequencies (με τους Didi Kern και Tomislav Federsel), junk & the beast (με τη Veronika Mayer), The MoND (με τους Ken Ganfield και Pasi Mäkelä), NOIZ (με τους Thomas Lehn και Tiziana Bertoncini), IQ+1 και άλλα. Η δισκογραφία του περιλαμβάνει πάνω από 40 άλμπουμ.

His unrelenting explorations of non-idiomatic improvisation using trumpet, clarinets, synths, diy electronics, vibrating speakers etc., made him one of the most active experimental musicians in Prague these days. Recently he works in many international duos like with Peter Orins (Kesherul Neg Pineg), Mathieu Chamagne (4&), Andria Nicodemou, Cinder (Fire Like Fire), Jérôme Noetinger, erikM, Joke Lanz, Birgit Ulher a.o.
