Come join us for a night of unforgettable jazz with the Noelle Prouty Quartet at Aretha's Jazz Cafe!
Noelle Prouty is an 18-year-old multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger from Michigan, best known for her work on baritone saxophone and bass. A senior in High School, Noelle has been writing original compositions since the age of 15 and is currently developing several projects, with her debut album set to begin recording later this year.
She has performed at major festivals including the Michigan Jazz Festival and the Detroit Jazz Festival, and is a proud member of several premier youth ensembles, including the JC Heard All-Star Ensemble, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Civic Jazz Orchestra, the University of Michigan Youth Jazz Orchestra, and the MSU Spartan Youth Jazz Band.
Recognized two years in a row as one of Michigan’s top high school jazz musicians, Noelle brings a bold, creative voice to every stage she steps on and continues to push boundaries as both a performer and composer. Keep an eye out - her upcoming recordings are only the beginning.
Noelle is set to perform at Aretha's Jazz Cafe on Wednesday, February 18th at 7 PM. She will lead a quartet featuring herself on bass, Jacob Hart on piano, Chris White on drums, and Pierce Gingiloski on alto saxophone.
