Nodate (野点) invites guests to experience the essence of the Way of Tea in a serene outdoor setting.

While Chanoyu refers to the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, Nodate—literally “tea in the open air”—is a style of Chanoyu held outdoors, celebrating the harmony between people, tea, and nature.
In this special program, members of the Arizona Tankokai will guide participants through an authentic outdoor tea experience, sharing the mindfulness, grace, and hospitality that define Chado. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Japanese Friendship Garden, guests will enjoy a peaceful moment of reflection and connection through the art of tea.
