Projects at your Museum:
Light in the Forest (on view until Nov 3). Come visit the new iteration of Holly Carr’s Light in the Forest a - multimedia Immersive experience. Wander through the illuminated silk trees and enter an animated world of nature, animals, twinkling stars and rising sun. Journey from the night into the day with the sounds of indigenous drumming, symphonic original score and spoken word. The exhibit explores the intersection of Art, Nature, and Mental wellness. It also contains several interactive wellness stations, where participants can try self-care exercises including making their own art.
InSignificant (on view until Nov 3). In(significant) is an exhibition curated by and for teen artists, celebrating the overlooked aspects of daily life and the beauty found in everyday objects. Through photography, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, the exhibition invites viewers to appreciate the everyday. In(significant) encourages visitors to pause, reflect, and embrace the mundane, fostering a renewed appreciation for the small details that shape our lives. This project in collaboration with the Canadian Society for Education Through Art (CSEA/SCEA) was made possible thanks to the support of Emma June (Project Lead), Melissa Boucher-Guilbert (Exhibit Design), NSCAD and the Museum of Natural History.
