Noche de Cumbia — Friday, October 10Noche de Cumbia continues to evolve, Every 2nd Friday of the month, Houston gathers for the city’s original and only dedicated cumbia night.
This October, we’re honored to present Yeison Landero, grandson of Andrés Landero, the legendary Rey de la Cumbia. Straight from Colombia, Yeison carries forward the accordion tradition and is recognized as one of today’s most important voices in cumbia.
Joining the night will be Houston’s own Son Bayou - With deep ties to Monterrey and the Gulf Coast, this self-taught crew has become one of Houston’s most authentic cumbia bands, keeping tradition alive while making every set a dance-floor explosion.
Expect two stages, un mercadito full of local vendors, and an all-ages fiesta that keeps the block dancing from start to finish. This is how Houston celebrates — with family, community, and cumbia.
