WILD is headed back to the waters of the Nantahala River in the beautiful Bryson City, North Carolina!Leaving on Saturday morning, we will head up to the mountains to the NOC bunkhouses to, relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air and a some whitewater rafting.
Saturday afternoon we will head into the Nantahala Gorge where we will be rafting down the Class II-III rapids of the Nantahala River on a fully guided trip with the NOC. This beginning whitewater rafting trip is perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the thrill of rafting in a beautiful environment.
After our day of conquering fears, learning new skills and thrills we will head back to the NOC for dinner (you can eat at the Big Wesser Grill or pack your own) and an comfy nights sleep inside the NOC Bunkhouses that have a/c and electricity! Sunday morning we will eat a light breakfast, pack up and head back to Columbus, stopping at Mercer Orchards in Blue Ridge for a fun road stop.
Pre-trip Meeting is MANDATORY and will be held on Monday June 24th at 7:00pm EST.
Trip cost is $235 per person and includes:
Round trip transportation from Columbus
Bunkhouse lodging at NOC (you just need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow)
Fully Guided whitewater rafting trip
Pre-trip meeting
Light grab & go breakfast Sunday morning
Experienced Guides with Wilderness First Responder, CPR, AED and Epinephrine Certifications
No whitewater rafting experience is required, but you must be comfortable in a raft and have some swimming ability. Ladies only. Female minors must be at least 7 years old and weigh at least 60lbs, and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
