ABOUT THE ARTIST
In 2008, the folk artist and gifted singer-songwriter produced his first EP Brand New World. Since then, he has released 13 studio records and toured voraciously throughout the U.S. and internationally.
This year Gundersen celebrated the 10 th anniversary of his breakthrough album Ledges (2014). Self-produced at Seattle’s Studio Litho, owned by Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard, the album explored big themes – faith and death – and showcased Gundersen’s incredible ability to craft emotionally driven songs that resonate personally and universally.
Gundersen’s originals have streamed to millions of TV viewers. “Family” was hand-selected by producer Kurt Sutter for FX’s hit show Songs of Anarchy, appeared again in CW’s Vampire Diaries, and his original “Day is Gone,” created for The Forest Rangers in 2014, received an Emmy nomination.
“From an artist’s point of view, I’m not a child anymore,” Gundersen reflected. The music world is changing . . . people are so young. So, I think I’m something between a new face and an old friend,” he said.
