Engage. Connect. Change the patterns. Host Courtney Daniel welcomes us all into a conversation with Jim Hamilton, focusing on the theme "Balancing Tradition and Innovation." Together we'll learn how bold leadership, strategic planning, and fostering student success are shaping the future of education.
About Jim Hamilton:
Jim Hamilton, Berwick Academy’s Head of School since 2018, is a Boston native, and has dedicated his professional career to creating opportunities for students and the advancement of independent schools. After graduating from Amherst College, Jim began his career at Brooks School in Massachusetts as an admissions officer, dorm parent, and coach. He then served as the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at St. George’s School in Newport, RI for nine years before returning to Brooks as the Associate Head for External Affairs. While at Berwick, Jim has led the creation of the School’s ambitious strategic plan, The Courage to Climb, launched The Campaign for Berwick, which is the largest capital campaign in the school’s history, and championed Berwick’s mission of promoting virtue and useful knowledge among the rising generations. He currently serves on the board at The Music Hall, his alma mater The Roxbury Latin School, and The Enrollment Management Association, where he is the board chair-elect beginning in 2025. Jim and his wife, Lucy, live in South Berwick and have three children.
About featured performer, Jennifer Rachele:

Beyond her professional pursuits, Courtney actively engages with her community, connecting with individuals and sharing their stories through her resource group, No to Patterns™. She also lends her expertise as the Board Vice Chair at WSCA, Portsmouth Community Radio, Board Member of Business Alliance for People of Color (BAPOC) and Advisory Panel for Arts In Reach (AIR) further amplifying her commitment to nurturing meaningful connections and dialogue.
In addition to her role as an Executive Virtual Assistant and Consultant, Courtney is an award-winning radio show host, business owner, TEDx Speaker + Host, 10 to Watch 2023 Nominee, BLM Seacoast Community Leader recipient and a passionate advocate for her community.

Seacoast organization, No To Patterns ™ was born out of necessity to address the lack of accommodations available to Black, African-American, and People of Color who live on the Seacoast. A determined mom, Courtney Daniel, wanted to create a community of resources for those who are considering moving to the Seacoast area and to nurture those who have called New Hampshire home.
What is the LIVE experience?
The LIVE Experience is an intimate quarterly discussion series that features passion-driven leaders from New Hampshire. You’ll join business owners, educators, students and supporters of change in one room for organic storytelling.
Our community resource hub serves as a vibrant platform, creating a space to share experiences and uplift individuals of color in their New Hampshire journey. Engage with the positivity of genuine community building for an inclusive and supportive environment. This event promises an enriching vibe where every voice adds to a positive and empowering experience.
