NEW! Join Burlington Parks and Recreation for a FREE 2-mile Fun Run to celebrate the Winter Solstice! It's dark, it's cold, it's the perfect time to get outside and breathe in the fresh air coming straight off the mighty Skagit River!
This winter fun run will feature an illuminated path up on the dike (course) that meanders along the Skagit River, enjoy a bonfire, hot chocolate, and some cozy live music will round out this fun event that celebrates the Winter Solstice from where the days will get longer, brighter and warmer. Write down what you'd like to leave behind and toss in the fire. Meanwhile quietly write out your new intentions and share with friends or keep them personal, it's up to you.
📍Start/Finish: At the Skagit River Park (1011 E Section St.) Concessions/Playground/Soccer Area
🏃♀️Distance: 2 miles
⏱Timing: There will be a race clock at the finish line for you to see your time. (no official time will be recorded)
🔦Course: All within the Skagit River Park and up on the dike. It will be marked by illuminated lanterns, but headlamps and flashlights are encouraged!
