Step into a vibrant world of colour, texture and joyful expression in No Paintbrushes, a unique solo exhibition by local artist Marie Wilkinson.Marie’s work is a celebration of creativity without constraints. Using sea sponges, plastic lids, cardboard scraps and other repurposed tools, she brings her intuitive, abstract and impressionistic style to life, without ever picking up a traditional paintbrush. Her vibrant works are inspired by a lifelong passion for creating with her hands and a refusal to conform to artistic norms.
Influenced early on by Australian artist Ken Done, Marie embraces colour and spontaneity to uplift, inspire, and spark joy. Each painting is designed to add beauty and energy to any space, and to remind viewers of the unexpected magic found in unconventional tools and intuitive play.
Come and experience art that breaks the rules, connects with the heart, using everyday materials to create along with upcycled frames and old canvases-into something vibrant and extraordinary.
