About this Event
Since the release of Spoon Jackson's groundbreaking album No Moon, we've been working with several filmmakers to bring the full album to life.
On March 29, we are thrilled to screen all 14 films - one for each song on the album. Several of the directors will be in attendance, including Nicolas Snyder, who produced and composed No Moon and whose recent soundtrack credits include HBO's Scavenger's Reign and Adult Swim's Common Side Effects. Confirmed in attendance will also be Asia Johnson, Adamu Chan, and Mauricio Arango.
We will open with a poetry performance from Randall Horton, followed by the film screening and a talkback with the filmmakers and a phone call with Spoon Jackson - who is currently on his 48th year of incarceration. On display will be artworks by incarcerated artist E. Brokencoyote, who has illustrated title card bumpers for each song on the album.
