Join Indivisible Black Neighborhoods United, the Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP) and Indivisible Pittsburgh 0n Sunday, October 5th!We will gather at the intersection of Freedom Corner, Crawford St. Pittsburgh 15219 at 12:30 to stand for democracy, the rule of law, and for our neighbors for “No Kings in our Neighborhoods”. We will have speakers, write to our elected officials, and strengthen our resolve to support truth, democracy, and justice.
Bring your signs and letters to elected leaders for us to deliver. we are calling on Pittsburgh communities to stand peacefully against authoritarianism and corruption in neighborhoods across the city and to prepare to stand together.
This “NO KINGS In Our Neighborhood” event is a part of a peaceful national campaign in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration. In Pittsburgh, we will gather together weekly in our neighborhoods and then on October 18 at the Pittsburgh City-County Building at 12:30.
They are targeting immigrant families, profiling, arresting and detaining people without warrants; threatening to overtake elections; gutting health care, environmental protections, and education when families need them most; rigging maps to silence voters; ignoring mass shootings at our schools and in our communities; and driving up the cost of living while handing out massive giveaways to billionaire allies, as families struggle. Stand up for yourself, stand up for your neighbors.
