Join us for a joyful, music-filled “No Kings” non-violent demonstration at George Washington Park in Centralia, WA!Rural Lewis County Indivisibles, ROOTED in Lewis County, and community member will show our support for freedom, democracy, community and the working class. We will show our opposition to dictatorship, bullies that encourage neighbors to hate neighbors, pay-to-play government, and billionaires robbing working-class people.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate in peaceful sign waving, singing, chanting and marching while enjoying “power-to-the-people-themed” music by an onside DJ.
A rally sign competition will be held for best overall, most creative and best message. Local community members will speak.
The crowd will try to keep a “solidarity rally ball” aloft as a symbol of its collective effort in the movement, the news release states. Attendees will show their skills with sidewalk chalk, and an acapella singing group will perform. A “No Kings” backdrop will be available for personal photos, and food trucks will be on site. Organizers will aim to take a group photo around 2:30 p.m.
