About this Event
Child and Family Safety has been an important topic because of the elevated risk of exploitation of children and youth. The vulnerabilities that affect the safety of our children and families have no respect of age, ethnicity, or gender. Dangers come in so many forms that it is imperative that children, parents, childcare workers, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and the community as a whole, are equipped with the knowledge necessary to maintain safe and health environments as well as outlets to report dangers.
On April 27, 2024, the Schrader Lane Youth Task Force Committee is partnering with the Schrader Lane Childcare Center for a community event on child and family safety. “No Child Left Behind” is an event that promises to be informative for the entire community. We will have forums that discuss the importance of safety in and out of the home. Our event will educate, bring awareness, and provide resources on the vulnerabilities facing children and families.
We are happy to announce that the Office of Family Safety, Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, Department of Childrens Services, The Mayor’s Office of Community Engagement, and the Erase the Stigma Program, are just a few organizations who have committed to participate in this event. Each organization will offer a wealth of knowledge and resources that will protect and preserve the family dynamic from a perspective that will reach every age group.
Please join us on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1234 Schrader Lane, Nashville, TN 37208 (East Building) and bring your entire family. Our program will be from 8:00 am – Noon.
