No Beijing 2022: Global Day of Action is happening on June 23. We will be rallying at 2pm from Nathan Philip square and then marching to Canada Olympic committee (250 Yonge St).?To learn more about No Beijing 2022: Global Day of Action, visit: https://nobeijing2022.org/
Several Tibetan, Hong Kong and East Turkestan Advocacy groups have come together to host this event on Wednesday, June 23rd. We are calling on the Canadian government, Canadian Olympic committee, our athletes and corporations to boycott the Beijing Olympics. We should only participate if the IOC agrees to move the games.
This is the second time China has been allowed to host the Games since 2008. Since then, China's human rights violations have increasingly worsened. Under its authoritarian regime crackdown on the Tibetan people has worsened, Uyghurs have been detained in internment camps, and ‘One Country Two systems’ has been imposed on Hong Kong.
Please bring your signs and placards.
NOTE: We will take every measure to ensure social distancing and precautions at the event. Everyone, please remember to wear a mask ?.
