In a change of our originally programmed performance of ‘Oklahoma!’, the Northern Musical Theatre Orchestra invite you to an evening of celebrating Musical Theatre Classics after their recent appearance in Europe.
What’s the story? NMTO were asked to save the day to perform in a professional concert at the Koningin Elisabethzaal Concert Hall in Antwerp, Belgium in April. After just one rehearsal, our 50-piece orchestra headed over and had a magical weekend performing with West End legends such as Rachel Tucker, Kerry Ellis, Ben Forster and Jenna Boyd.
Over 1,000 people saw the concert in Belgium, but we thought that it was only fair that we offer our wonderful UK audiences the same experience. So, we are presenting the same concert, with some additions to feature our wonderful NMTO Ensemble – live for you at the Majestic Theatre this Summer!
Our glorious 50-piece orchestra, sublime guest singers, our majestic NMTO ensemble and a group of Drama School graduates who are being given a first-time experience performing with an orchestra live on stage. Featuring classics from all your favourites, including: Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Gypsy, Frozen II, Matilda, Wicked, Hamilton and many more – this will be a treat for the whole family!
