The New Kensington Camera Club is thrilled to invite members and friends to an unforgettable photography experience at the renowned National Aviary! This special, private event offers a unique opportunity to capture stunning images and connect with fellow photographers in a one-of-a-kind setting. Cost: $24/person.At this event, you will experience:
—A behind-the-scenes private presentation on the inner workings of the aviary, including insights into their world-class care and conservation efforts.
—Ambassador Animal Encounter - Get up close with one of the aviary’s beloved ambassador animals—perfect for intimate and unique photo
opportunities.
—“Passport to Parks” bird show - Be captivated by an inspiring bird show, showcasing the beauty and diversity of species from around the world.
—Free Exploration - You will have time throughout the day to roam the Aviary at your own pace to photograph the incredible variety of birds and
habitats.
Itinerary will be as follows:
9:30 am -10:00 am Arrival at the Aviary
10:00 am -10:45 am Private program and visit with an ambassador animal
11:00 am - 12:00 pm Guided Tour
12:00 pm - 12:45 pm Lunch in a private, reserved space
12:45 pm - 2:00 pm Free time to explore the Aviary
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm “Passport to Parks” bird show
2:30 pm - 5:00 pm Free time to explore the Aviary / Depart
Arrival:
Please enter through the East Entrance off Arch Street and check in at the Guest Services Desk.
Cars may park in a lot behind the Aviary ($7 at lot kiosk) or metered street parking around the Aviary.
If using the parking lot, be sure to display your receipt in your windshield.
