The NJO remembers some of the early members who wrote a number of pieces for the NJO, including Randy Snyder and Rex Cadwallader. Some guest artists from this era include John LaBarbera, Bill Watrous, Don Menza, and Clark Terry. The band also traveled to England and Scotland in 1978.
