About this Event
Join us this March for our new Pathfinder event: Navigating the Dynamics of Conflict
Stop collecting business cards. Start building real relationships. For many professionals, networking feels forced, awkward, or transactional. We shake hands, exchange pleasantries, and walk away unsure of what actually stuck.
In this interactive 2-hour session, Beyond the Handshake: The Art of In-Person Networking, participants will learn how to show up with confidence, clarity, and intention before, during, and after every interaction.
In this session, you will learn how to:
- Define what networking success actually means for you using the 5 | 50 | 500 Network
- Apply the Three Phases of Presence to any in-person interaction-
- Prepare intentionally so you show up with curiosity and purpose
- Make others feel seen, valued, and respected in real conversations
- Follow up in ways that build trust and momentum long after the event ends
This workshop is ideal for professionals who want to network with authenticity, introverts who want practical tools that work for them, and anyone ready to move beyond surface-level connections.
This event will take place at Baker Donelson from 6-8 pm, hosted by the NJC Professional Development Chair, Ben Gilbert.
Dress is come as you are. Foods and drinks will be provided. Parking is available in the parking garage located within the Broadwest office building on the Hayes St side.
