Congratulations to those who auditioned, and who have been invited to participate in the Bachata Shines track, which is a path to becoming an NJ Salsa Performance Team member!
Margie Montes will be the director of choreography for Bachata Shines. Margie is the director of Mi Esencia NY; an all-ladies Bachata shines team. One of the best ways to grow as dancers is to become agile on our feet; we discipline our feet and master its movement so that we no longer have to think about them, we can now focus our attention on the upper-body.
We invite you to engage in the weekly practice of conditioning the feet and body to move to bachata music, in a way that surpasses the typical dancer.
Please be ready to give 100% in practice. Come in comfortable clothing and with sneakers, or shoes with the least amount of traction. It's an expectation that everyone enrolled in this track will put in additional work on their own, or with their teammates. We understand that this will look different for everyone based on their life commitments, but we also know that everyone can do a bit more work on their own, and in their own way. Use the energy of the class to motivate you to practice on your own, to move you closer to the goal of performing.
All training programs will take place at the Crave Cave in the same space as your audition. Street parking. There are snack shops, and restaurants surrounding the Crave Cave should you need a bite, coffee, or water before starting practice.
