About this Event
Congratulations to those who auditioned, and who have been invited to participate in the Bachata Partnerwork track, which is a path to becoming an NJ Salsa Performance Team member!
Ismael Otero will be the director of choreography for Bachata Partnerwork. Ismael comes to us with extensive experience in teaching and directing choreography, in performance-based experiences, and in judging performance competition. In his own words, "by the end of the program, you won't like me, but you will be ready to perform, and you will grow substantially as a dancer."
We invite you to put on your thick skin, sit under the tutelage of the most seasoned director in our collaborative, and engage in this challenge that will push you to grow. We promise that this track will increase your confidence on the dance floor as a bachata dancer, and change the way you dance forever!
Please be ready to give 100% in practice. Come in comfortable clothing and with sneakers, or shoes with the least amount of traction. It's an expectation that everyone enrolled in this track will put in additional work on their own, or with their teammates. We understand that this will look different for everyone based on their life commitments, but we also know that everyone can do a bit more work on their own, and in their own way. Use the energy of the class to motivate you to practice on your own, to move you closer to the goal of performing.
All training programs will take place at the Crave Cave in the same space as your audition. Street parking. There are snack shops, and restaurants surrounding the Crave Cave should you need a bite, coffee, or water before starting practice.
