About this Event
Led by Dorothy Smullen, Teacher/Naturalist
Join Dorothy for an illustrated program all about seeds. Where do they come from? How are they spread? What induces germination? How are they packaged? When is a “seed” not a “seed” botanically? How long can they last? What happens to them in the winter? Answers to these questions and more will be followed by a walk in the gardens and woods to check out seeds. ALSO – bring your collected native plant seeds to swap with those in our SEED SWAP BOX at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary.
COST: $15 members, $20 nonmembers.
Registration required by 10/25 at 4:00 PM.
