🎶 Nirguna Arts Presents: Sarang Rajan Kulkarni (Sarod) with Tarun Lala (Tabla)🎶 A confluence of tradition, technique, and timeless sound. Sarang Rajan Kulkarni represents the illustrious third generation of a family deeply rooted in Hindustani classical music. A disciple of his father, the acclaimed sarod maestro Pt. Rajan Kulkarni, Sarang embodies the spirit of the Gwalior Gharana through the Paluskar Parampara, seamlessly blending the gayaki ang with the tantakari baaz. His music is marked by fluid meends, expressive gamaks, and an effortless command over intricate taals. Winner of the Ustaad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by the Sangeet Natak Akademi (2023), Sarang has performed at leading classical festivals such as Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav, Tansen Samaroh, and internationally at venues like Esplanade Theatre, Singapore and New York`s Diwali Festival. Joining him on tabla is Tarun Lala, a gifted and expressive percussionist from Nagpur, currently based in Mumbai. A devoted disciple of Pandit Arvind Mulgaonkar, Tarun brings a rich sense of rhythm, clarity, and spontaneity to every performance. He has accompanied stalwarts such as Padma Shri Pt. Satish Vyas on prestigious platforms including a SPIC MACAY tour across Northeast India. Tarun is known for his sensitivity in accompaniment, deep understanding of laya, and his growing contribution to the Indian classical music community.
