Mark your calendars, everyone! April 22nd is the 55th anniversary Earth Day and Explore Lorneville Inc. will be hosting our NINTH annual Earth Day clean-up on Saturday, April 19th. Come hike the trails, walk/ATV the roads, explore the woods, and pick up trash!
Special thanks to the Lorneville Trail Riders who were a massive help last year and we're looking forward to even more help this year! 😊
We will meet at Split Rock Trail parking lot at 9am sharp and do a quick welcome and safety review. We will hand out garbage bags, buckets for glass, and review the areas that we will cover and break into groups.
What to bring:
-Water
-Snacks/lunch
-Gloves (we will have some to borrow)
Safety:
Please be aware of traffic. Do not pick up anything that you feel you cannot handle safely because it's sharp or too heavy. Please do not pick up needles--let a team lead know immediately and we will dispose of them properly (we have never found any in the past and hopefully it stays that way). First Aid kits will be with a team lead at each location.
