Join us for the 1st Nik's Wish Alabama Social Event, a fun afternoon of local music and beer at Beezr in downtown Huntsville (109 North Side Square, Huntsville, AL 35801)! The event will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 2-6 PM. Beezr will have over 24 beers on tap, featuring beers brewed by Chandlers Ford Brewing, a wide selection of cocktails, and a delicious kitchen available for guests to enjoy. The event is free and open to the public.The entertainment will start at 2 PM with four talented local artists, including Tim Tucker, Michelle Lee, Brandon Elder, and Duane Walker. Each artist will play a 30-minute set with a 30-minute break. Donations are welcome and there will be QR codes around the venue for your convenience. All proceeds will go to Nik's Wish, an organization whose mission is to bring hope and joy to young adults aged 18-24, and their loved ones, who are fighting cancer.
In addition to the live entertainment, the event will feature a prize drawing and silent auction, with items donated by local businesses. About Nik’s Wish, The Nikolas Ritschel Foundation Nik Ritschel, diagnosed at 17 with Synovial Sarcoma, received a Wish from Make-A-Wish. So, he knew the profound power of a Wish to bring hope and joy. If Nik had been diagnosed after turning 18, he would not have been eligible for a Wish from Make-A-Wish. In March 2012, with his cancer battle raging, Nik inspired the creation of Nik’s Wish. His dying wish was to help young adult cancer patients, who were diagnosed after turning 18, to get a Wish.
Since 2012, Nik's Wish has granted nearly 300 wishes in 40 states. Once a wish is granted, a volunteer Wish Maker works directly with the Wisher and their loved ones to make all the arrangements. This relieves the Wish Family from worrying about the details, and allows them to focus on their priceless time together enjoying the Wish and making precious memories.
