We have a special treat planned for our last show of 2024: three of our region's most dynamic songwriters/performers. We aimed high for this one and are thrilled that we have landed these acclaimed musicians. Each represents a different genre, so this will be a night of musical exploration. We're presenting these unique artists in a songwriters-in-the-round format. This means that they'll take turns playing their original songs, and have an opportunity to talk about the songs they sing. You, the listener, get to not just hear the songs, but understand the origins of those songs and get to know their creators.
NIKKI MORGAN has performed on our stage a couple of times, both times blowing us away with her unique musical style and charisma. She calls her genre “DIY Country!” Nikki has always done things her own way, it’s not just her gospel roots or the way she strums her guitar that gives her that unique edge. Nikki’s music embodies both a southern charm and a Midwestern grit. It is a balance that isnot easy to come by and if style wasn’t enough, her uncanny talent for storytelling shines in her onstage banter and poetic lyrics. Nikki Morgan is a class act. She is the heartfelt rebel that is sure to leave audiences of all types captivated and entertained.

KEVIN CAMPBELL's songs draw from a lifetime of disappointments, regret, relationships both good and bad, bouts of frustration, and some actual real fun moments. If pressed to describe his sound, Kevin would most likely say, "Back off man! I told you I don't know!" So let's just say if Blues, Soul, Motown and Folk did the deed and had a baby... And that baby was given up for adoption, and raised by a sweet lovely deaf couple that always nodded with approval, though they heard nothing... Kevin's music is that baby. His latest release The Stages, is his 6th album. After a 23 year run in Los Angeles, he now calls Raleigh home. When not playing music, he can usually be found trying to get the ball back from his dog Otis, so he can throw it. p.s. Kevin wrote this bio and found the use of third-person both lame and satisfying.

VICKI GENFAN will be performing at Doodad Farm for the first time. Every now and then an artist comes along whose music reaches out and touches the soul of all who hear them…virtuoso guitarist, singer and composer Vicki Genfan is among those artists. Drawing from folk, jazz, pop, soul and world music, Vicki is redefining ‘singer/songwriter culture.’ With a mastery of the acoustic guitar that borders on pure alchemy, audiences are mesmerized by the waves of sound Vicki creates with just two hands and her voice.
