Relax, grab a drink, and listen to Teresa Reynolds and the Slicktones perform outside on the beautiful lawn of the JWR Museum Home.Join us for our Nights on Lockerbie concert series which features three different outdoor concerts from May - October that will take place on the beautiful grounds of the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home! Bring your own food and snacks 'picnic style' and relax with $5 drinks provided by Tito's, Sun King, and our other partners.
For our first outdoor concert this year we welcome the incredible Teresa Reynolds and the Slicktones! Formed in 2021 with eclectic roots in pop R&B, jazz, and electronica the band has showcased their tight arrangements and adept musicality all over Indianapolis and NYC. Lead singer and songwriter Teresa Reynolds lived in NYC for more than fourteen years where she traveled the world singing backup for Gloria Gaynor of “I Will Survive” fame, sang in Central Park with That Guitar Man David Ippolito, and wrote and released two solo albums. Rounding out the Slicktones are Indianapolis heavy-hitters Mina Keohane, Poncho Hedrick, Matthew Dupree, and Joshua Ginder.
CONCERT INFORMATION:
When: Friday, May 17th! Gates open at 5:30pm with music starting at 6:30 and lasting till 8:30pm. The grounds will close at 9pm.
What to Bring: Your ticket gets you through the gate, but it's bring your own seating! We encourage you to bring your own blankets and chairs and find a comfy spot on the lawn.
Food and Beverage: We encourage everyone to bring snacks or a nice picnic dinner. No outside alcohol is allowed, but $5 drinks from our partners will be on sale throughout the night.
Parking: Limited parking available at the JWR Museum Home on a first come first serve basis. Additional street parking is available on Vermont and Mass Ave, and at the new Block 20 parking garage on East St. Reserve a garage spot here . We also encourage attendees to walk or uber to the show!
Bad Weather: In case of inclement or dangerous weather, the JWR Museum Home will attempt to reschedule the concert. If a reschedule is not possible, the JWR Museum Home will refund the full ticket amount.
Restrooms: On-site restrooms will be available.
