Family Promise of Gwinnett is once again hosting our “Night Without a Bed” fundraising event, kicking off on August 1st! We’re challenging our supporters, followers, and volunteers to be willing to sleep without a bed on the night of August 24th. While embarking on this mission to sleep without a bed, you will raise awareness for the on-going issue of family homelessness within Gwinnett County, while raising funds to help us end homelessness one family at a time. Ready to get involved?!Each individual will be challenged to reach the Family Promise of Gwinnett fundraising goal of $500 per participant. You can start raising funds as early as August 1st and have a month to reach the goal. On the night of August 24th, we ask our participants to sleep anywhere without a bed: cars, tents, a treehouse, your living room floor, or a couch and share your experience on social media using the hashtag: #FPOGnightwithoutabed. However, if you reach the Family Promise of Gwinnett fundraising goal by August 24th, you will gain the privilege of sleeping in your own bed!
Getting excited?! Now, don’t forget, you don’t have to participate in the month-long challenge alone. This is a great opportunity to get your friends and family involved to fundraise with you! In addition, we are giving out awards to the TOP 3 fundraisers from each category: individuals, teams, and congregations.
We will host the Cookout on the night of the 24th! Come out and enjoy hotdogs and burgers with other supporters and volunteers!
